"We had a very enjoyable stay overall. The staff was warm and friendly, and the property itself is beautiful. The garden is especially lovely—we saw many birds each day, which added to the peaceful atmosphere. The pool and amenities were excellent, and we particularly enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. The views of the lake and surrounding mountains are stunning, and access to the lake was relatively easy; we even took out kayaks, which was a highlight of our trip.The property is situated on a hill, so there are quite a few steps involved, but the scenery more than makes up for it.A few items worth noting for future guests or improvement:It would have been helpful if staff could have opened the door that leads directly to the living level when we arrived, as it would have made luggage handling much easier.The lighting on the steps leading to the entrance could be improved. Unfortunately, I missed a step one evening and ended up spraining my ankle.The upstairs bedroom does experience noticeable road noise, which light sleepers may want to keep in mind.We tried a private chef recommended by the property manager. While her daily rates were reasonable, grocery items were significantly marked up, and in hindsight we would have been better off dining in town. She didnt even know how to brew coffee.Overall, this is a beautiful property with excellent amenities, friendly staff, and unforgettable views. With a few small improvements, it could be truly exceptional."
