"If you're visiting Hakodate, then odds are you have stayed at some APA hotel at some point in your life. You stay at APA because it's affordable and well kept up, which holds true here as well. I've stayed in a handful of APA locations, and this location has the best customer service I've experienced at any APA. As for the building, it's probably older, but you wouldn't know because both the room and hallway are in great condition. They clearly have renovated or replaced over the years."

"Very nice hotel. I chose this hotel initially because of the rooftop onsen and the daily meal voucher for the morning market. The view from upper floors is great and there is a lounge and outdoor onsen. There is also a great ice cream shop in the hotel. My only issue was, because so many restaurants participate in the voucher program, it was a bit confusing to choose a restaurant. Also some restaurants only display their name in Japanese. "

"Great hotel located very conveniently near the port, as well as Motomachi and Mount Hakodate area! Only 15-20 min to downtown core for the morning market as well. The hotel also rents bikes for 1200 yen for a full day so we biked around the city and we highly recommend it! Would recommend staying here!"
