We really liked the hotel! Easy parking, friendly staff and over all nice building with facilities but some of the things seemed dated like faucets were old, hallway carpeting had stains and etc.
The hotel was beautiful and conveniently located. The staff was extremely courteous and helpful in helping me find my way around, as well as to transport my luggage to the next hotel on my trip.
Rooms were clean, hotel staff very helpful.
Rooms however are very dated abd need upgrading. Simple things in bathrooms like new tap fittings will make a huge difference.
Also the smallest beds and pillows ever seen un a 4-5 star hotel. And why only one pillow per person???
Location very good and convenient to train and many local shops.
Breakfast buffet quite basic and nothing special in range of food especially for westerners.
Large room with reasonable price.
The transportation connection is good: to Namba,Tennoji & airport.
Quiet area with local supermarket, convenience stores and mall.
Friendly staff, clean room, adequate amenities supply.
Daily room cleaning is available.
I stayed here before as I came to Japan for business. Close to train station and shopping mall was nice. This time was with my husband. We didn’t want to stay in busy area but this hotel was perfect. Only few stop away from Nanba. We got to experience ride train.

I stay almost every year one week in the Agora Regency Sakai Hotel.
It is a nice hotel with kind staff.
Unfortunately the inventory and the rooms slowly show their age. A renovation is needed.
Sleep comfort was very good.

Overall, I had a pleasant stay, largely because of the hotel’s excellent location. It’s directly beside Sakai Station, making it incredibly convenient, and there are plenty of shops and restaurants nearby. The port area is also within walking distance and has a charming atmosphere that’s perfect for a leisurely stroll.
The room itself was spacious, and I enjoyed the view. I also appreciated that there were vending machines and ice machines available on various floors, which was very convenient. I stayed in a Superior Double Room.
That said, the hotel is showing its age. The décor feels dated, and there were noticeable stains on the carpets in both the hallways and the room. Unfortunately, I also found an obvious stain on my bedsheet, which wasn’t a great first impression.
The biggest disappointment was the air conditioning. It simply wasn’t cold enough to cope with the summer heat. I asked if a fan was available, but the staff informed me they didn’t have any and suggested turning the older dial thermostat to the maximum cooling setting and waiting about 30 minutes. Unfortunately, this made no noticeable difference, and the room remained warmer than I would have liked.
Despite these issues, the hotel’s outstanding location and the excellent breakfast buffet helped make the stay enjoyable. If the hotel refreshed its interiors and improved the air conditioning, it would be an even better place to stay.
