The location of this cabin is absolutely beautiful. Nestled right next to the river with a waterfall and plenty of outdoor seating, this place became one of our favorite cabins to visit. Will definitely rebook!
We had a wonderful trip! The cabin was cozy and comfortable - everything we needed, and the location was amazing. Enjoyed sitting out on the porch and at the fire pit listening to the water as it rushed by. Took the hike to the waterfall. Very relaxing and refreshing - nice to slow down and enjoy nature and all it's beauty.
The property was cozy and clean. We especially enjoyed the wood burning stove, hot tub and magnificent view of the creek below. Additionally, the cottage which felt very private and removed from the hustle and bustle of “town” was actually conveniently located just 5 minutes away from Dillard, 20 from Franklin and 15 from Clayton.
Cabin was very nice. Kitchen had everything you could need. Condiments in fridge and coffee item. Coffee pot for Kuerig or drip. View of stream just below porch, which has inflatable hot tub. Beds were very comfortable. Perfect for 4 adults with 2 bathrooms.
Beautiful cabin - with your own backyard waterfall!
Does not get better than this! Almost on top of the world (mountain). It’s wonderful. And so many choices of things yo do in the area. We will be going back next year to do those things we did not have time to.
Even though we showed the weekend that Hurricane Helene came through. The property was beautiful. I contacted the owner and she very prompt in answering my questions. Even though we were without power for a day and half (because of the storm). It was just so beautiful at this property. I have annual conference at the Dillard House and I have stayed in a 5 different cabins during these conferences this was by far the best!
Beautiful, clean property. Gorgeous scenery. Soothing creek sounds. Incredibly well stocked kitchen - could cook an entire Thanksgiving dinner with no problem. Pet friendly. Survival handbook with answers to almost any question you could have. Attention to detail and anticipation of guest needs - 15/10!
The property was absolutely beautiful! The cabin is so beautifully decorated and comfortable. We had a perfect anniversary celebration and enjoyed our stay here so much! The details were well thought out and we had everything we needed to be able to really enjoy the tranquility the cabin and beautiful location provided! Would definitely return! The owner was readily available to answer questions as well!
We absolutely loved our recent stay at this super cute cabin. The pictures dont do it justice and its in a perfect location. About 30 minutes from Highlands(Dry Falls was awesome), 1 hour from Helen and 2 hours from Gatlinburg. You honestly dont need to leave though. Theres plenty to do at the cabin with the streams, trails, games, fire pit, movies, hot tub, etc. We sadly didnt get to finish the trail to the falls... We were really looking forward to that but I'm not in the best shape to get through certain areas without killing myself lol. We will definitely be back so we can finish that, though! The only thing that we wished was that they had the shampoo, conditioner and a shower gel in a locking type of dispenser, like hotels have(so they wouldn't be stolen). One of the shampoos were out, but we found another one in the other bathroom, and just tiny bar soaps were provided. Not that big of a deal but you might want to bring/buy your own shower gel when you come.
Even though the cabin was in a beautiful location, the poor communication of the owner and lack of amenities that were supposed to be available definitely put a damper on our stay. On the day of arrival, I still had not received information on entering the property. Being that there was no cell service, we had to leave the property to be able to get in touch with the owner to access the cabin. The chairs at the fire pit were filthy and unusable. Who put upholstered outdoor furniture by a firpit and not expect them to get moldy. The fire table on the screened porch had no propane and the supposed extra tank was not there as state in an information book that hasn’t been updated in decade. After contacting the owner concerning our stay, she was dismissive and condescending. All dishware and glasses were dusty and dirty and the overall cabin was cluttered and dusty. Too bad, the place has a lot of character if it was just maintained properly.
Bearfootfalls is a lovely, remote hideaway tucked away in the trees and with the sound of its running creek in the background. We really enjoyed the break from technology, spending our time by the fireplace, taking walks, and trying new recipes.
The cabin is artfully decorated, with all of its various corners and surfaces tastefully accented. You'll find comfort and coziness in abundance.
The host was very accommodating with our few questions, and you could definitely feel the care and consideration she put in arranging the cabin and its ammenities for her guests. We will happily come again, most likely when the weather is a little warmer.
Not so much a warning, but an advisement, though: This is a remote cabin. You should expect unavailable or spotty cell service and patience for any kind of internet use. It's wonderful for having a break from contact and technology, though, and my husband and I ended up really appreciating the hard reset.
