This was a heck of an early start to climb Mt Sneffels. I was very lucky to get these wonderful colors after a 4.50am start. A night sleeping in the back of the truck at the trailhead. It was worth it as I managed to miss the afternoon storms.

"This guest house, surrounded by some of Colorado’s best scenery, was itself beautiful, spacious, well appointed, and extremely comfortable. The host, Randal, has superbly thought out the needs of guests, and is quickly responsive to any questions. And if you would like suggestions on what to see or do in this gorgeous area, he has impeccable recommendations that will generate fond memories. "

"Hotel room not updated since the 1990’s. Horrible TV and reception. Uncomfortable rummage sale chairs. Stinky old carpeting and substandard bed with foam mattress. Not a conventional mattress like 99% of hotel mattresses. Shower head was very low and had 4 unadjustable streams with no pressure. Expected a deck or patio for $300 + per night. Very unhappy and not worth the premium price!"
