Truly excellent hotel with fantastic service. Food was best I have had in a hotel for years. Room was small but very well appointed and spotless. This is probably one of the best hotels to stay in Oxford. Well located, just a short walk to the city center.

We had a wonderful two night stay at the Black Boy. Both rooms were clean and had everything we needed; comfy beds, coffee/tea and friendly staff. We enjoyed a full English breakfast (not included in the room price) and a lovely dinner. The food was excellent. We were lucky to secure a parking spot right in front of the Inn; be aware that parking is limited. Stopped here for one night on our way back from Scotland for a flight the next day from Heathrow back to the U.S. The room was lovely, breakfast fantastic, and the host was friendly and knowledgeable about the area. It is important to know that this B&B is located on a horse farm and down a short dirt road. It was very close to the city centre but away from the tourist craziness which is Oxford. My husband and I stayed at this hotel 17-19 May and were greatly impressed by the hotel and in particular the staff and service they provided at this property. Great breakfast, clean room. Bathrooms and rooms are quite small.

You could walk into central Oxford from this location if you have the time. Nice facility. Great breakfast. A little expensive.

Quaint, historic, charming, friendly staff

Lovely hotel with very friendly staff.

My husband and I were on an adventure along the countryside back to Bath and booked this little gem of a find. Whoooaa what an interesting place to get lost! loved loved loved this little bed and breakfast! There’s a restaurant, a bar, a beer garden, and honestly, we didn’t see it all. There is a whole farm and pigs and walking paths that I hope we get back to see another time. The food was well prepared, all organic and scratch made. This roadside pub with inn above was so convenient for my stopover to Highclere Castle, it’s a shame I didn't have more time there. The staff is friendly, the room is comfortable and quiet, the shower has great water pressure.
