"Lovely property and gardens. When I checked in the clerk was not very friendly as you would expect at a place like Centrella. The room had only a few usable outlets. The curtain was a bit shabby. When I arrived for breakfast there was the pastries, etc. and you had to ask for the fruit parfait. The lady manning the desk and breakfast noticed when I arrived and I felt she should have asked me if I would like one. Every one had to request they wanted one with the clerk. The clerk was obviously not too excited about her job since it looked like she was on her phone the whole time. On my second day the clerk/breakfast lady still on her phone and I had to request a fruit parfait. As I left soon after breakfast, I noticed a second girl (employee) sitting at a the guest dining table with a HUGE plate of waffles (not on our menu). That was just a weird 'look' for the Inn. Coffee was great!"

"We had the kitchenette room with 2 double beds. We brought our 2 dogs and the extra fee was too much because the floors were dirty already. The beds were ok and the dogs were on the beds but the bed covers can be washed easily. I thought we had a stove and oven but no. A three burner electric stove was pushed right up to an outlet so the pans threatened to ignite the items like the microwave cord. We are cooks and enjoy making dinner in our room. I bought a big pan since the ones provided were not big enough for the chicken thighs I wanted to cook. Ask them to clean the floor before you arrive."

"Martine Inn is undeniably beautiful, and the location is absolutely stunning, but unfortunately, the overall experience didn’t quite live up to the price or the luxury expectations we had. We stayed in the Parke Room and absolutely loved its charm and character. One of our favorite memories was getting to use the fireplace on our second night! I do wish we had been better informed about how cold the rooms can get at night, especially since there’s no central heating or air conditioning. Breakfast was lovely, and we really enjoyed the atmosphere and presentation. However, the menu was surprisingly limited, with essentially one main option each morning. Modifications didn’t seem particularly welcomed either. Thankfully, I’m not a picky eater, but for a property marketed as a luxury experience, I would have appreciated more flexibility and variety, especially when it came to protein options. Another thing worth mentioning is the luggage situation. We flew in with a decent amount of luggage and weren’t expecting to have to carry everything upstairs ourselves. It’s something to be prepared for, especially if you’re traveling with larger suitcases. Our biggest disappointment was not having hot water on our first night. After a long day of traveling, this was especially frustrating. While we were offered a discount, it felt relatively small considering the inconvenience and the price we paid for our stay."

"The water pressure is very good in the showers. A lot of hotels have really bad water pressure but the lighthouse Lodge has great water pressure in the showers. However, the beds need some upgrading cause they were extremely lumpy at least in the room that we had and hard and maybe a little more expansion on their continental breakfast rather than just bagels and oatmeal but other than that, the stuff was really nice. We didn’t get a chance to check out the pool or the spa but people were using it and it looked nice and cozy, but we didn’t get a chance to use it overall I give it a 3 1/2 to 4 stars"
