"We rented Ryton Grange for 3 nights to celebrate the birthdays of three of our group of 10. The layout of the house and configuration of bedrooms was perfect for our needs. The house is extremely well equipped and everything is in good condition. The beautiful chocolate cake we discovered on our arrival was a real bonus. "We loved our stay at the Ancient Gatehouse. The room was lovely and looked out over the green in front of the Wells Cathedral. The staff is very friendly and helpful and the hotel has an excellent Italian restaurant, where we enjoyed a delicious dinner before walking around the lovely town of Wells. Americans should know it is not air conditioned, but air conditioning is rare in the UK and Europe. There is a fan and lovely large windows. We will definitely return."

"This hotel is sort of country lodge chic, meets modern bathrooms. The customer service was great (even though they were sold out). A very central location so great for getting around, but obviously a bit noisy until the pubs close. I'd check the parking situation with them beforehand - I didn't and then ended up a bit away as I drove to the hotel and couldn't see it but there is a private carpark nearby. "
