"Started off really well. One of the people from The Crown (which is part of the same group and does amazing food? spotted us walking through town and came and helped us get in the front door. Went downhill from there. The room smelt of cigarettes when we arrive and there were burns in the carpet. The bathroom was filthy. There was a layer of dirt all over the floor, to the point that I thought maybe it was the cover of the floor to start with, until I realised the white bits of floor behind the bath were still white, so it was definitely dirt. Loose bits all over it as well. Bath hadn’t been cleaned and there was dirt in the overflow waste hole on the sink. Bedding and towels were very clean luckily. Tried calling but no answer. Spoke to someone in the morning and they said the manager would contact me but they haven’t. Could’ve really lovely if they sort out the cleaning"

"Deal with the lady who was very pleasant, not the guy who was quite abrupt and almost militant. Initially when we entered our room it appeared clean, however there were cobwebs around light fittings. The bathroom sink was blocked caused by someone who must have shaved their head. When the sink filled with water lots of hair started coming back up the plughole into the sink. This was very unpleasant. The shower was awful. The flow was really poor and trying to get the temperature right was extremely difficult to master. It was either scalding hot 1 minute and freezing the next. The restaurant closed at 8pm, the actual pub closed at 9.30pm. We weren't aware of the pub closing time when we booked. I wouldn't choose to stay here again. Room only for 1 night cost £116."

"A truly amazing stay and the stay exceeded all my expectations. The owners were really friendly and welcoming which added to the entire experience. I will definitely be staying again for any trips that I make to Wales."

"We stayed in ‘Hedgehogs View’ for two nights, the location and view were second to none. The privacy of this specific accommodation was perfect as it’s at the top/back of the other ‘hobbit holes’ , so when using the hot tubs and walking around you’re not visible to anybody else. Our initial perspective was that the accommodation was beautiful , great facilities and well styled . Once we’d settled we noticed a lot of black mould spots in the main bedroom , above the bed area and dotted over the ceiling. The bed was extremely uncomfortable , with a very thin matress, the base of the bed being ply wood rather than slats/sprung slats which only accentuated the lack of thickness of the matress. A few little things that don’t work took the edge off the stay also, the bin lid didn’t work, and the mirrors that were supposed to light up in the bedroom/ bathroom didn’t. They stay gave us what we wanted/needed, being a space to relax with stunning views. But for the money I’m not sure I’d return as our sleep was very poor and the mould is something I feel should be addressed ASAP. As it is I’m unsure if I’d recommend based on the above comments."
