"The room was fabulous as was the staff. Francesca helped out at the front end suggesting great places to visit nearby. Samantha was the best! She served us breakfast with a smile every day but the one day she was off. She also served us drinks up by the pool. We loved staying here. The spa was closed for maintenance so we only were able to test it out our first day in. The pool was so beautiful but we wish it had been heated. It was very cold!"

"Il Pellicano is a dream. The property is stunning and exquisitely maintained. The views are breathtaking. The staff is most gracious. The perfect place for a peaceful and restorative getaway. We tried both dining options for dinner--the informal as well as the Michelin-starred dining room--and both were excellent. The latter was one of the best meals we've ever had anywhere, and we're serious food people who live in New York. We'll be back."

"Nice lodge (superior), air con was nice. Beds basic but fine, shower ok. Beach sunbeds were expensive (£260 for 4 sunbeds for 6 days) but nice enough beach and had to go there because the pool has some crazy ridiculous rule about wearing a silly rubber hat in the pool when it’s 33 degrees. They are not worried about all the children weeing in the pool but if a hair were to fall out! It’s obviously a ploy to divert people away from the pool area and onto the beach which you have to pay for so that is annoying, but all in all a nice basic campsite with ‘ok’ lodges. It is in the middle of nowhere though so once your in, your in! "

"Enjoyed the fresh fish and sea food they provide at the next door attached restaurant. The place is a nuce resort in front of the ocean. Great view of Port and the sun set over the gorizon of the ocean."

"This is a 2-star hotel at best, falsely advertised as 4-star. The room was untouched since the 1980s—old, worn-out, and depressing. At first, I chalked it up to bad luck, but when I realised the air conditioning didn’t work properly and the room was unbearably hot, it became impossible to stay. I left. For €300 a night, this is unacceptable. The mattress was the cheapest possible, the sofa discoloured, and while the room was reasonably clean, the overall standard was far below expectations. I feel sorry for the staff—it’s not their fault—but out of self-respect, I couldn’t stay. This hotel might be acceptable at €80, but not at premium rates. It needs a full renovation and honest advertising."
