Hotel Riu Palace Pacifico - Adults Only - All Inclusive

"Pros… The hotel itself is beautiful and very well maintained. 98% of the staff are awesome and very friendly. The swimming pools are excellent and have lots of chairs with plenty of shade. We tried all the restaurants except the steak house and they were all fabulous with awesome service and food. Cons… Didn’t try the steak house as you need to make a reservation on the app which is terrible.. If you take a taxi from the hotel do not agree to have the same taxi pick you up for the return fare as they charge you an astronomical amount for the waiting time which no one explains to you.. Take an Uber. If you visit the other Riu hotels only go at lunchtime if you want to eat this also isn’t explained to you. They definitely need a designated smoking area as the beach is full of cigarette butts and is dirty. There’s lots of chairs on the beach but no umbrellas you have to rent them. Be careful going in the ocean as there’s a drop off and the current and waves can be very strong. Last but not least please make sure you lock everything in the safe. My husband’s watch strap broke he left it on the side table and it disappeared.. It was our first and last time at this hotel.."

"5Frogs is a wonderful place to stay. Great location, clean rooms, comfortable furnishings, and two pools. Only a short walk to a great beach. The staff is fantastic. David the Bullfrog manger ensures you have a great stay. Oscar the bar tender and entertainment director is always a pleasure to visit with. Kim, is a great new addition since my last stay. Housekeeping is always on top of keeping the rooms perfect. I can’t wait to return."

"The house was gorgeous and comfortable and thoughtfully stocked, but it was the staff that made the stay beyond imagination. Karen prepared beautiful and delicious meals, Ivan made us drinks (over and over) and took care of every need and Angelita kept everything spotless and helped with cooking and serving. What an incredible treat of a lifetime!"

"The host gave us heads up about the traffic noise. Yet the traffic noise is horrible!! The host was excellent on getting our requests. We had to get paper towels and coffee. It would be nice if things were provided. We were tired and didn’t want to have to go to the store upon arrival. I loved the location. It was walking distance to every thing and the pool was fabulous! We had a great time! "
