"Comfortable, clean and convenient. It was a nice hilltop location with a great view. The economy room was cute and cozy. The living areas were enjoyable places to spend time. The walls were thin, but guests were respectful of the quiet hours. "

Waiakea Villas Gem. Shared Pool & Private Balcony!
10/10 Excellent
"We had an excellent stay at the Waiakea Villas. The room was comfortable and the amenities were excellent. Check-in was by lockbox, but it was easy to use. There is a State Park just around the corner which was a nice place to walk in the mornings. The room does not have central A/C (like many places in Hawaii) but it did have a portable unit. We did not find instructions for how to use the portable unit in the room's guest guide, but eventually figured out that there is an outflow pipe for hot air that needed to be wedged between the sliding doors to keep it in place. If you close the screen doors completely in front of it, there is no worry about bugs (the balcony/porch is also screened in). Also, be careful that the drip pipe doesn't fall out of the machine and leave a puddle on the floor. One tiny issue was that coffee grounds had been left in the coffee maker from a previous guest, but otherwise the place was spotless."
"Vivian was a super responsive and helpful host and the location of the condo was perfect. It has walking/running access to a great trail that goes around the pond and bridges to the oceanfront. Great restaurants (Manono center!) and grocery stores all close. We had 3 adults and felt right at home. Kitchen had everything we needed. Onsite laundry was a big plus. The lanai was perfect. We miss the cats and chickens already."
