"My wife and I spent 5 nights at JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort & Spa in April, 2024. The room and beach were great. The facility itself is enormous, far more so than I had realized when I booked our stay. It's a Marriott, so expect meals to be priced double (or triple) what you might pay at nearby (and far less fancy) restaurants; indeed, meals were priced a good bit higher than what we had paid at similar or nicer hotels in Seam Reap, Bangkok and Hanoi. Perhaps the absence of high end...

"Beautiful hotel right on the beach and with lots of local restaurants just outside. We all had a wonderful time, especially our 3 year old. Breakfast was great. Restaurant was quite expensive for dinner so we didn't book to try it but the restaurants near by are great quality and so cheap! Cocktails were amazing. All the staff at the pool bar in the main pool were lovely and great with kids. We had the most basic day room but it was spacious with a huge bed and a lovely walk in shower. The air...

There’s a very small mini mart 2 mins up the road but otherwise not a lot within walking distance. They then tried to put us in a triples bed room with 2 single beds pushed together. "What a stunning setting. We experienced one of the pool villas with garden view and were just amazed by the comfort and tranquility we could have in this setting. Absolutely fabulous. The only "negative" point for this hotel: in-house dining is quite expensive, but of really good quality. However, there are many small and nice local places around the hotel and all in walking distance. No need for any taxi."
