The property itself is stunning: a beautifully preserved historic estate set in the peaceful hills near Cortona, surrounded by gardens, vineyards, and the golden light of the Tuscan countryside. But what truly set this place apart — what made it unforgettable — was the food. We were treated to an extraordinary culinary journey: over 19 exquisite courses, each one more delicious and artfully presented than the last. Every dish felt like a masterpiece — bold in flavor, flawless in technique, and crafted with the kind of passion you’d expect from a Michelin-starred restaurant. The chef didn’t just cook — they told a story with each plate. The restaurant staff went above and beyond, especially the manager, who made us feel like honored guests every time we sat down to dine. "This was our favorite place to stay during our 3 week tour of Florence, Tuscany, and Umbria! Bertina was so helpful with suggestions of towns for us to visit (we had a car) The room was clean, spacious and elegantly decorated. It’s a perfect place to stay to take day trips to various Tuscan towns. Breakfast was great and they have a full bar. We will be back!!!!"
