"The location and views were fantastic. We had an easy 20 min drive to Lucca each day. Perfect mix of peaceful vineyard and olive tree landscape with easy access to Lucca city restaurants and shopping. Owners and staff were wonderful. "
"Barbara and her family are incredible and run a small piece of heaven in Lucca… just a small drive from Pisa. Lucca ended up being a charming town and among our favorite stops in Italy!!! "
"We loved our stay in this beautiful property. Great location, very clean rooms with comfortable beds, welcoming staff, and they offer free parking on-site and a lovely breakfast."

"Monica was the best, to start we wanted her to make us supper the 1st night but I got back to her late and she had already made plans to attend an olive oil festival at a hamlet a few miles from her Villa. She invited us to attend with her and it was the best way to start out our visit, when you watch tv and see Italy with everyone from the town eating together, it was exactly like that an 8 course meal with all the wine you could drink it was amazing. She was available for everything we needed a cab to Florence she hooked us up we needed a restaurant for supper she hooked us up the owner even came out to let us know we we’re eating Monica’s mozzarella from her cow!!!!! She will take care of everything if you need her to and as others have said in reviews we did have her make us a meal and it didn’t disappoint. If we make it back this way I would stay hear again. Thank you Monica "

"Wow - what a beautiful experience we had - from the stunning beautifully decorated and furnished villa - to the warmth and hospitality of Francesca and family - and the exceptional food and experiences they provided. Perfect in all ways - we hope to return!"
"Our stay at the villa was absolutely fantastic! We throughly enjoyed the pool and it was an excellent location!! Very easy to make day trips!Franco was an excellent host! And definitely try the bakery right down the road!! We definitely hope to make it back again!! "
"First of all, we had no car. We had planned to have one but Italy recently changed the law and the rental companies haven’t updated their contract language or online policies to make that clear. If you have no car, you will be trapped here. There is one restaurant. The breakfast is paltry and they run out of items. There is little fresh like fruit. There is no lunch available and the town is a far walk down a mountain road. They make no exceptions for this. The dinner starts later and the menu is limited. Otherwise it’s fine. The pool and rooms are not how they are represented in the pictures. Overall very expensive for what you get especially if you hadn’t planned to be trapped there. It’s not set up for you to be so. Updated pictures are needed. "
"Amazing property surrounded by Tuscan hills and ancient towns. The view, room sizes and amenities are not given justice by the pictures online. John is a tremendous host who really cares for your needs and his estate. We had 14 staying at the property and never felt crowded. 26 guests on wedding day and it was perfect. The road to the property was a fun daily ritual to navigate. We would definitely come back, next time with more groceries on the first drive up the hill."
