"I was shocked that they did not turn over the room when staying over 2 nights. Had to request towels and they were just left on the counter, didn't take the dirty ones out."

"Overall, very nice. Housekeeping on the day of our checkout though knocked on the door at 8:00 am to see if we had left yet - I’m not complaining about that, but it did wake us up and we thought it was odd. The check-in process was great and the hotel gave us complementary amenities for my husband’s birthday which I thought was very nice. "

"They say your opinion of a place is based on your most negative interaction… I had two negative experiences. Let me first say that the room was clean and as described. That is the last good thing to say. The valet service was rude, there was a line of cars, and I was the next in line and they walked past me and addressed all of the cars behind me first. I suspect it is a preconceived bias. On the third day of my stay, housekeeping came and cleaned the room and took a large paper grocery bag that I had all of my snacks and drinks packed in and they threw it away. In addition, I had brought a plate and fork from home and they threw away both the plate and the metal fork. (the fork was part of a match set.) when I brought this to the attention of housekeeping, they indicated they were having problems with these two housekeepers. They offered up some free snacks, but we’re unwilling to do anything about the missing fork."

"The mansion is exquisitely old with 12 ft ceilings, ornate moldings and architectural details that inspire the charm of 150 years ago. Our room was very comfortable with a wonderful bed that provided an excellent sleep. Clean bathrooms, clean room. lovely parlor with a view of the expansive park across the street. Chef Nick, one of the owners, cooked us a fantastic breakfast with homemade scones, and a fantastic baked egg, cream, leek, and prosciutto dish. It was a masterful custom breakfast. The other owner, Evan, greeted us as we entered the mansion and explained all of the things we would need to know including our outdoor lock combination so we could come and go as we pleased. The property is a bit of a work in progress and the bar was recently flooded and is under repair but it is behind a closed door and did not diminish our enjoyment of our stay. I would go back to Boggs Mansion in a heartbeat should we venture to Pittsburgh again. This is a fantastic alternative to corporate impersonal hotels. We really enjoyed getting to know and Evan and Chef Nick. They are doing a brilliant job with this property. "

"I would choose a different hotel in the area. The room was dirty and had no amenities. After talking to front desk staff, we went to Dollar Tree and bought toilet paper, hand soap, disinfectant wipes & couple towels."
