"The only reason I booked this hotel was the pool. Fast forward to check in and the pool isn’t “functioning”. Mind you we stared at a running pool with clear water all week but a chain on the gate. I immediately asked to be able to use the pool from the same chain right down the street and was told no. So I took it up the chain to Holiday Inn Customer Care who said a ticket was started and someone would be in touch with options/resolution within 24hrs. Never heard another word. Needless to say I am done with Holiday Inn as a brand since they clearly don’t stand behind their own brand."

"the room is poorly maintained...looks like it hasn't been updated in quite a while. molding was missing from sides of counter...water damage was visible on parts of counter...under the stove vent was disgustingly filthy. I had to go to the front desk 2 times because the tv was not working. They finally got me another remote. The lady at the front desk could not understand...or barley understand what i was saying"

"This is not a fancy upscale place. The price is appropriate. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. Our rooms were clean, shower had plenty of hot water. the water pressure was good, and the AC worked great. The beds were comfortable. They only had a grab bag for breakfast. We opted for a Whataburger just down the road. Maverick is the place to go for fresh ground and brewed coffee. If I am in this area and need a room for the night, I would stay here again."

"There was a constant beeping sound in the lobby that fortunately we could not hear in our room. We also could not hear the loud and constant rumbling sound that came from the property next door. The room smelled of old cigarette smoke. The bed side lamps had no light bulbs in them and everything on the night stand was unplugged. None of the 3 ice makers in the building were working. The shower curtain was literally hanging on by a thread. The hair dryer did not work because the plug casing was cracked, that could have been an electrocution or fire risk. Makes me wonder if the lamps were also unplugged because they were potentially faulty. We paid over the max. price for this room ($175, while $150 was listed on the room door) because of an event in town (one we were not even in town for) that limited the number of available rooms. The excessive cost made the terrible accommodations even more of a frustration. Do not stay here!"
