"Loved, loved, loved this place. It felt like family and staff took care of us like family. Nice older building, wonderful breakfasts on the balcony. Walk in one direction from hotel it’s messy, walk any other direction and it’s nice - plenty of dining options as well as a farmers market and laundry near by. Out of a score from 1-10, I give the Athena Hotel and staff a 20❤️❤️"

"Great hotel, great value for money, helpful and friendly staff. Located around a 20 minute walk to many of the main attractions or there is a metro station a couple of minutes away that will get you to the sights quickly and cheaply. Room was comfortable, clean and well equipped. We used this as a base for a family trip to explore Rome, worth every penny."

Instead of solving this situation in a polite manner as misunderstanding, I must say the way he treated us was not acceptable, he was so rude, he shouted at us and I have never felt so badly humiliated as a woman.
