"Beautiful property. Lagoon pools are amazing. Lobby is showing its age but renovated rooms are all excellent. Breakfast is excellent right beside the main pool. Location right on Four Mile Beach is spectacular!"

"Staff were great, room had a microwave but not enough dishes and no toaster or coffee machine. Balcony did not have a proper privacy screen. No restaurant on the property but Ramada next door was good. The swimming pools were cold no heating."

"This is the place to stay in Port Douglas. Everything is fabulous about By The Sea but it is the staff who make your holiday the absolute best. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is excellent & everything is there for you to have a wonderful holiday."

"Great place! Private rooms but shared spaces and kitchen encourages community. Restaurant had great pricing and food, though food took a while. Staff were incredibly friendly, nice clean space in the room and around the property. Great location to everything in port Douglas and Mossman"
