"Our stay at Schwan Lock has been amazing. They accommodated us for an early check-in (free of charge) after our 30 hour travel from Australia. The location is close to Munchen HBF for easy to get around although we didn't mind the 20min walk to Old town. The streets can be intimidating and looked sketchy, but no one really bothered us. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a variety of selections to choose from. The room was clean and spacious. The bathroom fan wasn't working and we informed the front desk and they said they were going to send someone to look at it. It wasn't working the whole time but it didn't seem to have any other issues, as the bathroom smelled clean and the shower condensation was not an issue at all. There were no room thermostat to adjust room temperature and we can see why it can be an issue in summer. We just opened the balcony door to let the cold air in and we we're satisfied with it. We definitely recommend this place to anyone visiting Munich!!"

"Nice and comfortable hotel. Many choices of food to eat just beside the hotel. Only downside was the heavy construction that is going on along the main road leading to the hotel. Causing the whole area to be very dusty when dry and muddy when it’s raining."

"We had 2 rooms here for 2 nights during Oktoberfest and this hotel was within perfect walking distance. It's also a nice walking distance from the famous Marienplatz with lots of shopping and food. This hotel is on a very busy street with a lot of activity all hours of the day although it did not bother us. (Reminder that our stay was also during Oktoberfest, so it may not always be that busy.) The hotel staff was friendly and helpful, there was a nice variety for breakfast, the room was clean and comfortable. There is a parking garage close, which worked well. The rooms we were in both had all single beds, which was perfect for our mixed group. Overall, it worked well for us and I would stay here again."
