"Mercure Muenchen City Center Hotel was truly a wonderful discovery during our latest trip to Munich. Its convenient location near the train station and within walking distance of Marienplatz made getting around the city very easy. The cleanliness of the hotel was impeccable. The housekeeping and maintenance staff were outstanding -fast, efficient, and always kind and friendly-. A very special mention goes to Ilgar at the front desk, who checked us in. He was extremely professional, welcoming, and pleasant, making us feel comfortable from the very beginning. His kindness and professionalism truly made a great first impression. The rooms are spacious, modern, and very comfortable, and the bathrooms are also large, modern, and well designed. Everything felt spotless, very well maintained, and thoughtfully cared for. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options to suit every taste, including many healthy choices. It was so good that, for someone like me who is definitely not a morning person, it actually made waking up early for breakfast enjoyable! I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Munich."

"Not a 5 star hotel. Furniture is either chipped or stained, the hair dryer was not working, minimal vanity kits, no hangers in the wardrobe, the light in the room was poor and the room was dark, the body lotion tub was empty, breakfast and general food in the hotel was meh, coffee was horrible, room service far too expensive for the food quality, spa area is okay (the massages are one thing I’d definitely recommend). Most inconveniences were fixed with a call to the front desk and a bit of a wait, but even so it just shows a lack of attention to detail and care for customers, especially for the price paid and the stars it claims to have. Stayed at better Sofitels in the past (i.e., Sofitel in Gdansk Poland) Sadly would not recommend or return to this one."

"It was clean with friendly staff and a good location - would stay again for the good value price. Rooms plain but fine for what we needed. Was very slightly confusing on arrival as our room number had an 'a' at the end which wasn't explained. We worked out you had to walk through the number of the door (slightly unnerving when you can hear voices on the other side) and there was then an a and b door. Not the most soundproof, but thankfully room b weren't noisy."

"Hotel is perfectly located from the main train station and Marin platz and convenient stores around the corner staff were very very nice and helpful. But it’s only a for a transit stay meaning there are no full curtains to cover the sun when you wake up plus there isn’t air conditioning it’s only a fan in the room"
