"This place is a dump. Do not stay here, and don’t trust the reviews that say otherwise! This place might have been great in the 90s, but that’s the last time anything was maintained and/or cleaned thoroughly. Our first room was dark and filthy, and located on the maintenance side of the property. So we went to the front desk to ask to get moved since most rooms were sitting empty. The second room was just as bad. Shower doors were falling off and the shower head was broken. The wooden closet...

"We couldn't have been happier with our stay. Ralph made us feel very welcome and was extremely helpful with recommendations on where to go and eat etc. The house was very comfortable and had everything we needed, and was in a great location, minutes from the beach and local amenities, including supermarkets, bars and restaurants. Praia das Maçãs is a very chilled and relaxing place to stay and we met some lovely people. We stayed 12 nights and loved it. Thank you Ralph, we hope to be back! :-)"

"Strikingly themed property, with large, deep pool and sea views. Really near to beach and many restaurants in a quiet village catering heavily to the Lisbon weekend breaks, so weekends a lot busier. Many sites just a short drive away and only 45 minutes from the capital."

"We enjoyed our stay in small seaside town of Prais das Macas. The house was a short walk away from restaurants, playgrounds, the beach, and all the things our family needed. We appreciated having ample nearby parking as well. The layout of the house suited our family of 7 (grandparents, daughter and husband, and 3 young grandchildren) well. The kids especially loved the bedroom and play area on the lower floor and being able to play soccer on the terrace while the adults enjoyed local beverages...

"Deficiencies: 1. The entire building smells of mold and mildew. 2. Cook top gas not worked for 3 days, we had to eat out every meal instead of cooking, which defeats the purpose of having a kitchen. Sara spent almost an entire day having to deal with this and Bythebuilding was kind enough to pay for a single dinner to help compensate for this. This could have been avoided, but is now resolved. 3. Dirty kitchen, has not been cleaned this year. If it was then the cleaner didn't do their job....
