"Welcoming and helpful staff, comfy beds, beautiful grounds and views and so much peace and quiet! We stayed in early April and the weather was beautiful but unpredictable (as usual in the Azores) and our room stayed a comfortable temperature the entire time without using the thermostat. The only change I'd make is more variety at breakfast and more opportunity to try the Azorean beef at dinner! "

"We loved our stay at Casa do Monte! The house and surrounding gardens were beautiful, and the view of Ilhéu de Vila Franca do Campo from the garden was absolutely breathtaking. The house had everything we needed—the kitchen was well equipped with all the necessary appliances, dishware, and cooking utensils.It was a little chilly during our stay, and the host had thoughtfully provided space heaters for each bedroom, which we really appreciated. Communication with the host was excellent; they promptly answered all of our questions and even suggested activities and great places to eat on the island.On our last day, we had a minor mishap while rushing to the airport. Although we of course took responsibility, we were truly impressed by the host’s professional and courteous response. It was clear they genuinely care about their guests and the experience they provide. We felt well taken care of from start to finish and highly recommend Casa do Monte to anyone visiting the island."

"We found this great spot easily, in a great location. The home was obviously cleaned and prepared for our arrival. The host had some treats, coffee and tea waiting for us in the very functional kitchen. The outdoor space was cared for, and comfortable. We were there through Hurricane Gabrielle and were provided safety information on the lead up. This spot is walking distance to an amazing Seaside bar and restaurant called Caloura Bar. It is also quick driving distance to many restaurants and attractions. We would most definitely recommend this spot as a practical option while visiting this amazing island! "The place absolutely amazing, even my family from the local area was amazed. We had 3 separate families all staying together in the location and it was no issue at all. Every family basically had their own floor and washroom and the kids loved the hot tub. I can not say enough about the view from every level of the property, absolutely spectacular."
