"Mattress was uncomfortable, lousy breakfast food"

"Since the first experience is check in, our stay was negatively affected. We reserved three suites: (an executive two bedroom, a two bedroom, and a one bedroom, and two of the three (the larger ones) were not ready until approximately 5:30 PM (check in time is 4 PM), but instead of telling us the suites would not be ready until 5:30, the front desk person kept telling us after making a phone call, "they will be ready in 15-20 minutes," -- for two hours of wasted time since we arrived at 3:30 PM. And, one of our suites had to be switched two times after initial check in because of issues. Not a great start, a lot of wasted time, and affected our evening plans. The other negatives: one of our spa treatments was rescheduled to 11 AM instead of 9:30 AM at the last minute, affecting our next full day plans, and the "sports equipment" is at the front desk, which is a long way from the sports area, so was heavy to carry around bocce ball, etc."

"Very lovely grounds. The rooms could use a little update and more coziness. "

"This was a beautiful place awsy from the hustle and bustle of Sedona. If you like quiet and beauty, this place is for you!"

"Basic rooms at the lodge. Could use some upgrades. Beds are very hard not too well for the back. Price for the lodge rooms could be a little lower."

"Property was well located. Rooms and property are dated with older cabinetry, etc. Parking can be challenging. Didn't like the marketing pitch for a timeshare seminar -- compensation offered was different for each participant depending on how much you paid for your room. Early check out at 10am was a little rushed. If we would have participated in the 9am sales pitch, we would have had to check out by 8:45am which did not work for us. No later checkout for attending sales pitch. The sale solicitation really dragged out the check-in process."

"You have to pay an extra $28 a night to use the pool and the tiny gym. I told them I was gonna be in a yoga retreat all week and would not be using the pool nor the gym. As I would be at the yoga retreat from 5:30 AM to 6 PM every day. so they charged me $198 to use the pool and gym which I never used for the week that I was there."

"This property was very dated for the cost, it was very disappointing for a Courtyard property. The bathrooms didn’t feel clean, the carpets are old and worn out. I was looking forward to leaving the property as quickly as possible, due to the outdated rooms. The location isn’t ideal as well, it’s right at the start of town, a little far from everything."

"We had to have the direct TV box replaced because it kept losing signal. The ironing board supplied by the hotel was bent and unusable. When the maids cleaned the room they forgot to replace the coffee pouches. It's a clean facility but it has ageing interior items."
