"Warning to future guests – be aware of undisclosed policies.
I had a very disappointing experience with this hotel due to a lack of transparency about their incidental hold policy. At no point during booking or in any confirmation emails was it disclosed that a credit/debit card was mandatory for incidentals. This was only revealed at check-in.
I had sufficient cash to cover any potential charges, but was told cash was not accepted and that I would be turned away without a card. This put me in a very difficult position because this requirement was never communicated beforehand. Policies that affect whether a guest can actually check in should be clearly disclosed before arrival.
What made matters worse was the manager on duty, who showed no willingness to work toward a solution and demonstrated very poor customer service. There was no attempt to resolve the issue or even show basic concern.
Because of the lack of disclosure and poor handling of the situation, I would not stay here again and would not recommend this property. I would strongly encourage future guests to call ahead and confirm all payment requirements so you do not encounter the same situation.
