"The roooms have clearly not been updated, but they are comfortable and spacious. The beach was beautiful, as were the pools on both the adult and family side. I am a vegan, and there were more than enough food choices for me. The hotel staff was kind and accommodating. I stayed at a nearly brand new resort last time I was in the DR, but Barceló Bávaro Beach was a better location. They took excellent care of the beach. I definitely recommend this resort "
