My husband and I had a pleasant stay at Hotel Mama. We were pampered since we stepped in until we left. We definitely will stay again if we visit Quito again in the future.

We couldn’t have been happier with our stay. Everyone who we had contact with were beyond lovely. The atmosphere and style of the hotel was warm and beautiful. Loved it. Highly recommend. The tour guide and driver they use is also exceptional. Xavier was indispensable.

Exceptional hotel located centrally in Quito! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly and kind. The house is beautiful. Breakfast was delicious. The bedding was top notch, I didn’t want to wake up! But the best part which I will miss throughout the rest of my travels was getting a massage on site each day from Darwin. How nice to have a 90 minute massage after a day of exploring. Don’t skip booking a massage!

I was very impressed with both the people and the facilities. I traveled alone to a place that was completely strange to me. I never felt alone. Everyday at breakfast (very tasty) the staff made sure that my plan for the day would work. They had a sincere interest in my well being and my experience in Ecuador. I would whole heartedly recommend this hotel. They made my trip wonderful.

The environment at the hotel was extremely welcoming, the service was great and the room was well equipped and clean. I particularly enjoyed the walking tour with Santiago, who was very thorough with his explanations and showed us the best of Quito’s beautiful historical town! Even though I was traveling solo, I never felt alone because of the staff. I would definitely recommend this place to any travellers looking for a more personal and traditional trip in Quito!

Location: perfect for us, walking distance to Old town, lovely view of Virgen de Panecillo from veranda and dining room. Has a very relax atmosphere. Wifi is great! We stayed in a 2-bedroom suite... 2 bathrooms, full kitchen and washer/dryer. Excellent unit. A/C worked perfectly. The dryer actually got hot and dried our clothes. The kitchen was fully stocked with a real coffeemaker (not the horrible single pod that most hotels now use). There was a full size refrig and freezer with ice trays. There's a nice outdoor area where you can sit and talk or read. Also, it has a very nice tv/lounge room.

Overall love the ambiance. Cozy, clean, and full of zen.

Great quiet spot for my trip

This hotel is a gem! It seems like a 5 star retreat. We checked in extremely late due to our international flight and a simple email to the hotel was responded with assurances our room would be waiting, and it was. The hotel makes a nice stay over when transiting via Quito to the Galapagos or other destination in Ecuador. Staff and service were great, very welcoming and helpful. We ate dinner in the Botanica Restaurant and found the service and quality excellent (try the Tempura Shrimp entree). The heated book was very welcome and while we did not have time to use it, the fitness center was large with a great selection of modern equipment.
