"I’ve disliked quite a few hotels around this area of SD, but this was my first overwhelmingly positive experience at a hotel in SD!! Everything was perfect; the staff, the room, the amenities, and location were all amazing! I will definitely be coming back next time :)"

"The exterior of the buildings look dated. New paint with contemporary color scheme would be really helpful. The room itself was exceptional. Comfortable bed, ample pillows, plenty of options on TV. I don't mind a bathtub/shower combo but maybe they could renovate over to a shower only. Front desk was cheerful, helpful and informative. Breakfast wait staff was great!!!! Buffet price $22 was more than fair. There did not seem to be a lot of guests. The restaurant was closed in the evening so I ate in the bar. Limited menu but my chicken flatbread was really good. I chose this property for the reasonable price point and proximity to Fashion Valley Mall which is my happy shopping place. I would definitely stay there again."

"You know I was staying in San Diego again, this time with my girlfriend. We had the king suite which was inside the building above the lobby. Really liked the room a lot very spacious, but it was a great place to hang my hat at night. It was close to old town. It was close to Seaworld and that’s pretty much what I was doing this weekend. The staff is amazing. They were really cool on Wednesday when I was there to spend the night to see Guns N’ Roses, and they agreed again for the just chill holiday weekend."
La Jolla Shores Hotel

"We stayed at the La Jolla Shores Hotel for the second week of our California vacation after a week at Disneyland. It was a much needed retreat after a busy week in the parks. The building and rooms are clearly aging and the bathroom could definitely use work but we chose this hotel for the beautiful location and easy beach access. Th restaurant was wonderful and we enjoy wonderful views and sunsets."
