"I'll write this here, because when I try to send direct feedback on the survey the property sent, the capta security doesn't work and never allows it to submit: To the hotel: You already know this based on many reviewers' comments on here over the years, but the complete lack of soundproofing from the squeaking exposed floorboards from above (my room's ceiling) and hearing neighbors speaking between the walls desperately needs to be fixed. Aesthetically the hotel is beautiful. Functionally, it's close to unusable as a hotel for guests on Floors 2-4. If someone is staying in the room above you, forget about it, your stay is constant squeaking. Fortunately, our front desk person empathized and was able to move us from the 3rd floor to a 4th floor Accessible room on a sold out night in order to escape the constant ceiling floor creaking above us. Without that, I would have likely required a refund and found another hotel. Also, surprised how well we could hear our neighboring room's conversation. They weren't talking loud, but we could hear them no problems. You already know all this. Looking at reviews after the fact, you've been told many many times about the unacceptable sound proofing for this class of hotel. In the end: Beautiful hotel. Functionally poor. "

"We enjoyed the park like setting of the historic home, a small bit of nature in Lancaster. Nice sized refrigerator for longer stays. Loved the artistic touches and sense of eclectic architecture. The stories I'm sure these walls could tell... The wooden floors and nature of the older house does mean that voices and sounds will carry from room to room, but that is manageable. The upstairs shower is a bit tight but is still doable for someone 6 foot or so. Would recommend this property to any family."

"Location was great! Walkable to many cool and memorable places in Lancaster. We have a very Large Yukon and parking was a bit difficult in the provided space. We had a bit of initial trouble getting ahold of our host when we arrived on the property but fortunately it wasn’t for anything major. Host was very gracious and brought us some light bulbs and soap (these were missing from our house). The house itself was very cozy and obviously an older home. Decorations were very good for the space and it was a nice little spot to retreat between various outings. They had a little binder with recommended options if things to do. Overall great place to rent. I’d rent again was good for my family of 6. "
