Miðgarður by Center Hotels

10/10 Excellent

"The hotel is immaculate, the staff are friendly and helpful, the rooms are warm, clean and comfortable, breakfast is very good and the location is excellent. I would very happily stay again."

Grandi by Center Hotels

8/10 Good

"We loved everything about this hotel except for one major thing (will get to this in a second). The location was great: easy walking distance of downtown, but far enough away that it was nice and quiet. The interior was gorgeous, and our room was clean and modern. We also loved that it was right next to a cafe which made it easy to grab breakfast or a quick coffee. With all of these things, the price of staying was very reasonable. Our only compliant is how hot our room got. My wife and I both like to sleep on the cooler side, but we couldn't control the temperature of the room. There's a gauge on the heater, but even when we turned it all the way down, the room remained very warm, and both my wife and I would wake up sweating in the middle of the night. We could crack the window, but that meant we had to leave the curtains open to let the cool air in, and because we were on the first floor, we couldn't do that. Side note: we also had one of the employees at the front desk tell us that our windows were one way and no one could see in from the outside, but when we walked outside the hotel, it was apparently this was not true at all. Anyways, if the hotel could fix the temperature issue, the hotel would be perfect and we'd love to stay here again when we come back."

Center Hotels Arnarhvoll

10/10 Excellent

"Great location for exploring Reykjavik as everything was walkable. Parking was a bit of an issue to begin with as the hotel only had 5 spaces which were always full, but on street parking was outside and involved a bit of patience. The rooms were well appointed with good showers, toiletries and underfloor heating. Some explanation on how the heating worked would have been a benefit. Housekeeping and reception staff were very helpful and the room came with a safe, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities which were replenished daily. The best experience was in the rooftop bar, which as well as having a good happy hour which lasts much longer than an hour, provided a lively atmosphere in the evenings and the perfect spot for some aurora watching, which on our final night was truly magical."

Hotel Ísland - Spa & Wellness Hotel

10/10 Excellent

"A very comfortable and modern hotel. Rooms were really comfortable & spacious (we booked two). Staff were really welcoming & helpful, gave us a lot of info about the city centre & tour options. Location is a bit away from the cathedral & main town area, but it is nice & quiet. Breakfast at over £20 per head per day for something that'd be nowhere near a 'full English' was a bit much, so we didn't go for that - there's. Netto supermarket within walking distance so we got stuff from there. The Hekla restaurant on-site was very nice, we had 2 meals there - the 'wolf fish' as catch of the day was very tasty! The only minor thing was the lghting in the evening in the corridors on the floors with rooms was pretty dim. Overall we had a really nice stay, happy to recommend :)"
