"Pros: De omheinde tuin achter het huis is een fijne plek, schaduw en zon en uitzicht op een mooi wild stukje tuin (dat stukje is niet toegankelijk). Als bonus hadden we nog een langslopende das!
We zagen in een vorige review dat iemand had geschreven dat de tuin niet omheind is. Dat klopt niet, de tuin is wel omheind. Het vlonderterras dat aan het huis vastzit, heeft geen hekje, zoals ook op de foto's te zien is. Wij begrijpen weinig van de kritiek van de vorige review.

Enjoyed a lot my stay at this hotel. It was so clean and comfortable. I have been traveling with my two friends, everyone had her bed and we had a big kitchen to spend time together. It was spacious, with laundry downstairs and drying machine, free parking. I would choose the same hotel during my next trip to Basel. Highly recommend.

Hotel Spalentor offers a wonderful, well run place to stay in a perfect location for access to the old town or to get to the train station. Old school kind of place wheree they give you a physical key for your room but everything is clean as a whistle.

Beautiful hotel with nice amenities such as the breakfast and free mini bar. Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is very convenient for the train station but also an easy walk to attractions. I highly recomment.

Hotel was wonderful and the price was so reasonable. It was in the middle of a quaint fortress old town just a couple of blocks from the Rhine River. It was super close to the train station. It made us feel like we were living 10 centuries ago but yet the hotel was totally updated and very comfortable. Would love to go back.

The most efficient use of space ever in a hotel room. U.S. hotels should learn from these guys. Best bathtub...narrow and deep, perfect for soaking after a hard day of travel. Very clean, modern and welcoming room. Two entrances into bathroom, perfect if spouse sleeps in and you get up early. Very well appointed room. The staff was incredibly helpful as well.
