This property was stunning. Gorgeous views westward over the rolling Tuscan hills, paired with a cozy spa and relaxing outdoor pool were the perfect setting for a portion of our honeymoon. The staff was very friendly/helpful and management certainly does a superb job maintaining this historical setting.

Impressive!

A lovely, comfortable hotel in a beautiful location with spectacular views. The staff was beyond excellent going out of their way to help us as we navigated through the issues related to driving in a hilltop medieval town. I have been in Italy many times but everything here was so delightful and beautiful it will always remain a highlighted memory.

Our stay was wonderful. The hotel staff were fabulous. The rooms were nice and larger than most European hotel rooms. The bathroom was roomy as well but the shower stall was rather small and cramped.

This was the perfect away from the city stay for us. Cortona was just a quick few day stay for us but the staff/sylvia were fantastic. Room was clean, the breakfast was delicious. A/c and water pressure from the shower was much needed and the location was perfect for us. It is a short walk from downtown Cortona (steep walk into the city and about 15 mins) but the views are unmatched. Sylvia went above and beyond for us picking us up and dropping us off at the bus station. Highly recommend to...

I visited La Macerine with my wife and a couple of friends. The property is beautiful, the rooms were clean and comfortable, I met Stefano who was a terrific host, very helpful and pleasant! The location on the lake is just a beautiful setting. I highly recommend for anyone touring in this part of Tuscany and Umbria.

Perfect staff and perfect view !

This was the first hotel we visited in our two week Tuscany vacation. Coming out of Rome and getting on the highway north, it looked like the exit should be labeled for Cortona...but it wasn't and we wasted a lot of time getting lost (our fault). Once we found the hotel, it was a gem in the hills in the vineyards. Breakfast on the patio of the little glass Liminoere building was fabulous. Loved their boxer dog roamed around saying "hi". Owner/chef is on premises and she gives cooking lessons....

Our visit was like being spoiled from the moment we arrived! The staff and even the owner were there to make sure we had everything we needed! Though our visit was in the off season, the only thing we didn't get to use was the pool as it was just too cold. The breakfast, though, was the best we have ever had while traveling! Highly recommend!!!

Pro: gorgeous and spacious property, we were upgraded to a junior suite that was lovely, attentive staff, and incredible amenities. Pool was wonderful for tired bodies. Con: very few. The restaurant on site has pretty limited menu, toilet in room kept running all night long- informed staff on checkout (as it was troublesome to flush, and wasting water), fridge in room- housed in a cabinet that I feel caused it to overheat… and therefore was not very powerful enough to keep drinks cold. Loved...

Nice quiet hotel even though on the main street of the castle area. Staff was friendly, the food was excellent and the price was a bargain. The room was quite small but there is a common area where we could hang out a couple of times. Parking is by the hour in the nearby area so recommend you get the parking app, which was also useful in other towns.

Great , big room , recently renovated facilities (bathroom, shower). Very peaceful place to stay. Nice view inner courtyard convent. Comfy bed. Very clean. Very quiet. Great location, closer to restaurants and museums, churches. Staff very pleasant and helpful with advices. Breakfast provided was good. Good coffee and juice, yogurt.

Terrace with a spectacular view. Hosts so helpful. The rooms and common areas are filled with color and objects from all over. A delightful stay.

The staff went above and beyond to care for us.

We had a wonderful couple of nights at Hotel La Torre. The staff was very helpful and cheerful. The rooms were large, comfortable, clean and air-conditioned. Breakfast was plentiful. We loved Castelioni del Lago - beautiful views, nice people and great little restaurants.
