"What a beautiful property. The cottage was clean and ready to go. Sageet was very knowledgeable kind. We missed having a tv in the bedroom. The tub we could not use. We are seniors and there were no safety features at the head of the tub to balance with. The rail at the end of the tub was only good for getting in/out. The living room furniture was a little tired and not comfortable. When sitting in front of a fire comfort is essential. Bed was awesome, comfy. Couple items needing attention, kitchen sink faucet is very loose, bathroom sink has a huge crack in it.An odd mention, we were woken nightly at different times of loud knocking. We got up and walked around and found nothing. Weird. We cut the trip short by 2 days. Taking sink showers just did not do the trick. Time to head home. "

"If you're looking for a cozy escape, don't hesitate to book this house.As a family of 4.5 (wife, me, two children, a dog), we are constantly going, going, going: We almost never relax.We didn't want a "busy" vacation, as the entire point of us getting away was to wind down and spend time together.In Monte Rio, that's exactly what we did. The house is small, but that's a GOOD thing! We all got to talk and laugh and spend time together, and there was no way to really be separate. Having the hot tub two hops from the door was magical, and we spent a lot of time in it every evening just telling stories and catching up.The TV is not a smart TV, so unless you bring your own device, you're watching cable. We didn't watch much, so we didn't notice.I still needed access to internet for emergency farm emails, as did my wife. Our daughter had an online math class that she had to attend. The internet was fast and never lagged or dropped.We love to cook, so I will say that the kitchen is "serviceable". There's not a lot of gear, but I was still able to roast, grill (outside), make pasta, etc. Be prepared: There's only four place-settings-worth of dishes and silverware, so you have to do dishes between every meal.Overall, the house is clean, cozy, and perfect for relaxing (coffee on the deck in the morning? YES!). I could see myself going there just to escape and write a book.Our kids want to go back to the North Coast, now, so that says a lot!"

"This is a lovely property. Great location - an easy walk if you’d like drinks or dinner at Boho Manor, or a coffee at Lightwave. The backyard is a beautiful oasis. Though the homes are close together, it was very quiet and tranquil.We found the house to be a very relaxing retreat and would happily stay here again.My dog loved the yard and neighborhood, and felt little need to bark. Would be extremely comfortable staying at the house with him again."

"We arrived during one of the hottest March temperatures on record. Riverdale was the best oasis we could ask for. What a beautiful house and neighborhood!? We'll be back for a return visit soon!"

"We loved the decks and getting to bring our dogs. Location was fantastic also, although it would be a bit of a hike down to the river and back up. Smelled a little smoky/musty when we arrived, but after airing out it was fine. The beds were comfortable, kitchen well equipped although a few zip lock bags or tupperware containers would be useful. Overall a magical place in the redwoods and very spacious for our family. "
