"Lovely Place,Antonella my host was brilliant and so helpfull. unfortunatly the steak house up the road was closed by the time I finally ventured out that evening but there are other places further towards the town where you can get stuff. good breakfast with a vast choice. short drive to Pisa aswell which is then easy to get onto the coastroad south."

"The hotel is in the centre of Luca and within walking distance of anything you could want within the walled city. I felt safe as a solo female traveller and was comforted by the rooms' security. Breakfast was outstanding, the staff was friendly and helpful, the beds were comfortable, and the showers had great pressure with lots of hot water. "Villa Alta provides beautiful history and art-intense setting, wonderful atmosphere and comfortable conditions for memorable romantic, family or individual stay and events. It is located very close to the cities of Lucca and Pisa, surrounded by the very well-designed and kept Mediterranean garden with the clean and beautiful pool aria. Our family enjoyed peace and quiet at the time of our stay. Food was great, too. We highly recommend this place. "

"This property had many pluses but also a few minuses. Pluses were very helpful host hood local places to eat. Minuses were lack of a lift and having to haul bags up many flights of stairs. The hist was however very obliging carrying my suitcase up for me. Also the parking was a bit of a hassle. Had to pay for street parking until 8pm. Again host gave me some coins as the machine wouldn't work with my card. If the host wasn’t there helping this wouldn't have been a good stay"

"Our stay at the Villa La Preziosa was completely wonderful. The Villa has been beautifully restored and Barbara, Gunther and their family made us feel so welcome. Lucca itself is an amazing place with lots to see and do and, thanks to the recommendations from the Villa, we found some amazing restaurants. We couldn't have had a better stay."

"The property was very well located for touring the old town and places of interest. The room was spoilt by stale odours in the bathroom. This was possibly due to a maintenance issue with the shower's drain."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Room was clean and bed was comfortable and air con worked very well in bedroom in a heatwave! Breakfast room was a little tight for the number of guests staying and air con did not really operate that well in reception area and breakfast room. We enjoyed our stay in Lucca and Villa Romantica!"

"We liked the location and the fact it was quiet.The bed was comfortable. Kitchen adequate but would have liked electric kettle. It was wet weather and we had no control over heating as it was put on remotely and only occasionally during our weeks stay. We appreciated the clean towels and linen everyday. A welcome pack was not included ie info on nearest shop. So more difficult when travelling without a car. Lucca is a wonderful city and a few little touches would have made us feel more welcome...

"Charming Residenza right in the historic centre of Lucca, about 15 minutes from Anfiteatro. The rooms were clean and comfortable and we had an adorable balcony where we breakfasted al fresco each morning. Alessandra was delightful. She speaks excellent English and was efficient and helpful. "Lovely rustic villa in the foothills of the Apuan Alps with stunning views over vinyards, the town and the sea. We were warmly greeted by owners Francesca and Manu, who invited us to join them for a buffet and to taste some of the wine they produce. The villa is set on a steep hillside on 3 levels (so you need to be ok with going up and down stairs!) The pool is set on the same level as the ground floor and has seating and sunbeds alongside. The local ameneties in nearby Ripa are limited, but...

"Planned this trip with my two siblings and my sister in law and we are so happy we chose Massimo’s Villa! Massimo is a wonderful host and went above and beyond to accommodate us on a very late arrival time due to some airline delays. We should have arrived at 3pm but due to delays and being rerouted through Rome we did not arrive until 1am.
