"Lovely old, characterful hotel with a spa and fitness centre. Room was lovely and spacious and bed was really comfy. Bathroom had both a tub and a shower and was very clean - as expected. Food in the restaurant was delicious and there was plenty of choice for breakfast. "

"Had an excellent stay. Room was lovely and large and very clean. In a very quiet park of the hotel so had some good nights sleep. Staff all very polite and friendly. Breakfast was delicious, good selection and very fresh."

"We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express Braintree three times during our visit to the UK. We were particularly impressed by Kinliegh who seemed to be here, there and everywhere but still had time for the guests. Two observations, the temp controller in room 143 wasn't responding to altered settings and displaying an error message. The breakfast room seems inadequate for the number of guests compared to other Holiday Inn's, It's something we also noticed from a previous stay in 2016."
