It may be a challenge to get to Roncola by public transport (from Bergamo), but it's doable and worth it.
The village is beautifully-situated in the Pre-Alps, the chestnut trees abound, and this accommodation specifically can provide views, warmth, and a nice breakfast.

"A really beautiful property in the centre of Citta Alta. The host sent very easy to follow and comprehensive instructions as to how to find and access the property and was on hand for answering any queries. The property was well equipped and super clean. The balcony has the most beautiful view and it's a perfect location for exploring the old town. "This is simply stunning bed and breakfast. But that’s it. Mountain View in Lecco. Immaculate place with zero room amenities. A common area for use at certain times and a beautiful pool. Breakfast one hour only, we didn’t take it as it’s served too late. Many rules including no eating in a room with no fridge or coffee maker. 20 min drive to Lecco Centro and 45 mins to como. "
