"A pleasant cottage, but there is no access to back garden as 2 very large dogs were there. They also scratch / jump at the back door (in lounge) in the middle of the night! Front garden not as pretty as picture with some dog mess and dogs watching through gate. Lastly boiler is in bedroom so you can hear when it comes on. "

"Spent a lovely week at Ashlea Country Cottage, Ann, the owner was so nice and helpful, made us feel right at home from the moment we arrived. This is a lovely cosy cottage set in beautiful peaceful surroundings. We even got real thick snow which was an added bonus, great to watch surrounding wildlife and had visits from sheep. "Had the most wonderful stay at Bolton Farm. Usually when coming to stay at places it lacks utensils and facilities, however Bolton Farm had everything you needed. The hosts kept the house and hot tub clean/heated throughout our stay. Perfect location with lovely views of fields. Lovely little Italian about a 5 minute walk away. Short drive into Durham itself. Thank you so much for making my dad's birthday a special one!"

"This is a fab place in a wonderful location. We took our bikes and cycled down to the local pub and enjoyed the walks. I wasn't sure about the outdoor bath but gave it a go and it's actually a brilliant experience!! We will definitely return."
