This is a winter ski hotel about 4 km from town. You'll want a car to tour the area. Exfremely nice staff and large rooms. Great in-room sauna in addition to common sauna on each floor. Gourmet restaurant serving Finnish specialties. Nice hiking and biking trails in summer.

For our first trip to Rovaniemi, we decided to stay in an apart-hotel instead of the usual hotel. In Rovaniemi, you can choose from downtown, near Santa, or by Ounasvaara and it skiing. We went for Ounasvaaran Pirtit, which is between downtown and Santa.
We don't ski, but the property is right next to it and it was fun to watch the activity while we built snowmen and sledded. It was a short drive to restaurants and museums downtown and Santa in the other direction. The property is right on one...

It’s a resort for people who want to be active. Active in the sense of skiing, etc.. the laundry facilities worked for what we needed. Staff was helpful. The lookout Tower gave a beautiful view.
