Holiday Inn London - Kensington High St. by IHG

Holiday Inn London - Kensington High St. by IHG

8/10 Good
"My stay at the Holiday Inn London Kensington High St was a mixed experience, highlighted by an extraordinary staff and an incredibly convenient location very close to the city's public transportation. From the cheerful front desk receptionists and the energetic breakfast team to the friendly bartenders and polite housekeepers, the hospitality was truly exceptional. The food was also really good for both breakfast and dinner, and it was highly convenient to order meals to pick up at the bar or have them delivered via room service. However, it was puzzling to me why the main restaurant /dining room was not used for evening service, leaving many guests, including ourselves, to eat in the bar area. Unfortunately, the room fell short of expectations. While it was clean, the layout was poorly optimized, making the space feel very small. The closet was badly designed with a complete lack of drawers for storage. In the bathroom, the shower setup made it virtually impossible not to flood the floor every time we bathed. Most concerning, however, was the mattress; the springs were visibly worn out and poking through, to the point where they painfully pricked my legs whenever I sat on the edge of the bed. All in all, the hotel has a winning team and location, but the standard rooms urgently need maintenance and functional upgrades."

"We had to ask to move room as we are both 60+ with mobility issues and I did not realise I would have problems accessing the bath/shower. Staff were excellent. Great breakfast. Comfy big bed."

10/10 Excellent
"This was one of my most favourite hotels in London. The staff were so nice, polite and patient. I arrive very late, 2am and staff wrre available and checked me in quickly. I always travel solo so most of the single rooms I book tend to be very small and cramped. This eingle room however was very spacious and the toliet bathroom had all the toiletries I needed. It's very close to South Kensington station and V&A."

Bob W London Hyde Park

10/10 Excellent
"The room and the property were all very clean and well-maintained. The room was small, but quiet and comfortable, as well as well located. Using an app and code to get in was new to me—this should be made clear in the Expedia description, not only after I had made a paid reservation. However, it worked smoothly. The little cafe area was rather useless and unstaffed every time I was in the lobby. The person working reception was quirky but very friendly and anxious to please. I would suggest putting a microwave downstairs for guests to use and some instructions on how to use the Opal coffee machine."

Kensington House Hotel

Kensington House Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"I arrived disheveled and late, in need of a way to charge my phone, as well as caffeine and pain relief. The front desk went above and beyond in helping me with both missions, and it made all the difference for the rest of my stay. The location was also perfect, nestled between Albert Hall and Dishoom, with easy access to Hyde Park."
