"Well, you can look at the place as desperately being in need of a renovation...or being charmingly retro. Being charmingly retro ourselves, we choose that. Think of it as being in a time capsule from the 80's. That being said, the staff was excellent, the rooms surprisingly spacious, and all the public spaces were very well maintained. The location is fantastic, right in the middle of downtown. Would we stay there again? Absolutely."

"The Drift is in a great location. Easy walking distance to Palm Springs. Staff was wonderful, the room was clean. The only negative is the only place to store your clothes is a suitcase rack and a small hanging area. A dresser or cubbies would be great for this very affordable hotel "

"Beautiful boutique-like hotel! The property, the bars and the pools were amazing with a subtle Palm Springs vibe. The staff, including Erica the manager and Vern the Concierge were as good as any 5 star property. Every staff member we encountered was engaging, friendly and went out of their way to help us or simply point out the hidden amenities throughout the hotel. Great location downtown with great restaurants within walking distance "

"I stayed here because there was no vacancy anywhere else. Rooms are small and dated. No iron, no shampoo, limited stained towels and not very sound proof. You could hear people outside and in the units above. Would not recommend. "
