"Stuff was very helpful. Room was clean and basic. Bed was comfortable and firm. There is an elevator, but every floor has a interesting two to three steps down within the same floor to get to my room. So be aware of that. The hotel is a ten minute walk from the train station and the sites. Please be aware that it is right by the train tracks. So it gets loud, if you are a light sleeper bring earplugs. Even with the window closed you can still hear the trains go by. It's no problem for me since I'm a heavy sleeper, and it was just a place to sleep. I would stay here again because of the central location."

"The location is great, just a short walk to the altstadt and situated across from a large and lovely park, with fountains, playground and well treed greenspace.You can easily walk from the train station to the hotel in under 15 minutes. The breakfast was very good and although the same thing daily, there is a variety of eggs, bacon, fresh loaf cake, pastry, yogurt, fruit, cereals, cheese and meats. The breakfast staff are great, friendly and replenishing items whenever something runs out. There is construction at the hotel and the room right next to ours was being worked on, however we were out most of the time so it did not impact us too much. The front desk staff is hit or miss, with the two who checked us in being very kind and helpful. There was one reception staff who we encountered who was very rude. After we realised this, we avoided making any inquires when she was stationed at the front. Overall, we had a good stay in the enchanting town of Colmar."

Not to mention the beautiful seven course dinner that we had in the Restaurant Girardin, Gastronomique!! Simply amazing! The staff was extremely helpful throughout the entire stay."

"Great little hotel. Absolutely perfect location. Our issue was that they put us in the very top floor. We had a lot of luggage. Elevator was not working and they offered no assistance. The last day the elevator worked for part of the day. I asked for a small refund, like waive the €11 euro tax, they said no. Was a winding wood staircase. 4 flights. With 2 50lb checked luggage and 2 carryons. Can’t beat location and hotel was clean. Room was fine."
