This hotel is great and the staff are amazing. The area around the hotel (outside property line) is a little rough due to the train and tram traffic, as well as the occasional homeless person, but the hotel grounds are well manicured and safe. The hotel is very clean and well kept and the staff are great at making sure that you have everything that you need. I was traveling through Sacramento after taking my daughter to college. I could not have been more impressed with the exquisite beauty of this place. There are no words for how stunning it is. If you are an antiques buff, you will adore the furnishings. If you are looking for a comfortable and peaceful retreat, you have found home. I enjoyed my stay. I came down from Ontario California to stay in Sacramento and this hotel provided with an excellent location. Very close to shops and restaurants. If I go out there again I promise I will book with the Marriott.

The room had a slight odor

I travel to Sacramento every month for work and I CHOOSE to stay at this hotel. I always have a great experience here but I have dealt with Liz at the front desk 2 times now and she is always so rude to me. The last time I checked out I was not greeted, acknowledged or even looked in the eyes. She was taking to another worked who was the one who actually acknowledged me and he did not work at the front seat. She was so rushed and acted as though I was bothering her. We have a family with kids so we love the pool and breakfast options. Thank you Luchie and staff. I love the omelets here. It's close to interstate 5 and feels safe and quiet. We have stayed here often on our vacations. I highly recommend it.

Clean and quiet nice stay

I appreciate the staff, Hampton always has great people working for them. Jordan at the front desk was especially accommodating.

We were very happy. The beds are super comfortable and the shower amazing. The sliding barn door between the sleeping area and bathroom dressing area works well. Separate little rooms for shower and toilet. We will stay here again.

These rooms are spacious for 2 or 3 ppl. All the amenities work properly so that really exceeded my expectations. I stayed for 4 days and got the best sleep and rest even though the freeway was right next to me. No noise through their thick glass. The staff are friendly, fast, and professional. And the rooms are CLEAN

The staff and housekeeping was wonderful, my husband and I just had an awful experience at a different hotel ( The Lions Gate) that night. So we had to find accommodations at a different hotel. I was so grateful to have found The Double Tree, and it was close by, since we had driven 12 hours from Arizona. The night manager was so gracious and was so understanding. I will be booking with them again in the future.

It was unique that i had to pay for parking. Didn't like that too much
