This is a family-owned establishment. The owner checked us in and we could see him out doing maintenance throughout our stay. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean. A marvelous experience through and through. The location is incredible, in walking distance to the village. The hotel staff was super friendly and helpful. The rooms were huge and updated. Loved the entire setting. Anyone who has been to the San Ysidro Ranch in Santa Barbara, CA, will understand when I say, it's a mini-version of that location.

This is one of the most wonderful and comfortable places I have ever stayed. The property is beautiful, the rooms are very large (even by US standards), the breakfast was fantastic, but the people were beyond all expectations. Henri, Veldi, Dominique, and Norwin (the folks who manage and run the place) are the most wonderful, welcoming, friendly and kind people you will meet as a traveler. Truly an exceptional visit. There are no downsides. Just fantastic.

We had a lovely stay at this charming little B&B in Avignon, run by a very kind and warm-hearted couple. Neither of the owners spoke fluent English, but we were able to communicate perfectly well using a translation app. I also did my best to practice my elementary French, which made the experience feel even more personal and memorable. The room was air-conditioned, with a nice view onto a town square. Staff was very helpful, offering us a bottle of water before we left. The hotel was very clean, nicely decorated with artistic touches throughout. The walls were thoughtfully painted with warm and calming colors. I would stay again, not doubt about it.

Hotel 1770 & Spa served as our home base during the week we spent visiting Avignon, L'Isle-sur-la-Sorgue, Pont du Gard, Arles, and Nimes. The hotel owner was so accommodating and kind—great with corresponding. The option to purchase parking in the nearby garage was easy and I’m glad I did it, as I arrived in the evening and street parking wasn’t readily available.
