"It was a nice town and facility but we thought we were staying in Salerno not Cava d’terria and the taxi ride was very pricey to and from the train station. Sorts misleading."

"This hotel is actually a working farm, so a place with a difference, courtyard of fruit trees, for example. Dinners are excellent, as are their wines. Management and staff are exceptionally nice and a couple of problems I had were resolved in no time. I hope to stay there again on my way back from Calabria."

"The hotel is rather dated. Lots of scrapes and chips on furniture, skirtings and especially the bathroom. The service however was very good. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We had one evening meal in their restaurant which was lovely!! Liked the “robot-server” !! "

"Hotel Scapolatiello is quite unique, created by a family in 1821 and currently run by the 5th generation of the same family. It is in a fantastic location in forested mountains above Salerno with majestic views.
