"I had a great time at the Catalonia. I enjoyed the buffet & the staff was very attentive, professional, polite & friendly. I loved the buffet in the morning & it was a perfect idea to locate the restaurent on the 5th floor because the view on Avenida Washington was magnificent. I love the Catalonia, it was very nice. I enjoyed myself."

"Check in was poor after securing early check in. Wasn’t till after 1. Room had a leak in ceiling that was coming through bathroom floor. After hours moved me to another room with not even a certificate for a breakfast or a dinner. Reserved another room for family, that room had no electricity nor hot water.Hotel is outdated. Some workers were great. For my first experience is was poor for them to be considered five star. Would not return in the future."

"Margarita was good, however my glass was only half full and i wasn't given a napkin or straw. Fried fish fingers were soggy not fried to a crisp, sent them back and they refried them, but then, my fries had gotten cold. The waiter scraped them off my plate and took them to the kitchen to be dumped in the grease and refried until overcooked, brought them back and expected me to eat it. The whole event was tacky pand insulting. He got an attitude when i said i didn't want the fries. I was still charged the full price for the plate. Corners in the bathroom were gross. No English speaking programs on tv. Couldn't find lamp switches. The check - in was fast and efficient and the front desk clerk was awsome. "

"I had a very pleasant stay at this small hotel in Santo Domingo. What it may lack in size, it more than makes up for with its cleanliness, comfort, and friendly service. The staff was welcoming and helpful throughout my stay, making me feel right at home. My room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, providing everything I needed for a restful visit. I also appreciated the free parking, which made getting around very convenient, and the complimentary breakfast was a great way to start each day. While the hotel doesn’t offer a lot of extra amenities, it delivers exactly what it promises: a comfortable, affordable, and enjoyable place to stay. If you’re looking for a simple, well-run hotel with excellent hospitality and good value, I would definitely recommend staying here."
