"Wonderful location, close to major roads and easy to get into the city proper. Ana was very helpful and friendly with any questions we had. She does work full time in addition to being a host so sometimes we would have to wait for her to respond to us. Property was awesome. Very clean and tidy. Secure, gated property. We felt very safe. Only downside was the hosts’ dog barks a lot when in their yard which is directly behind the property. "

"We had the most wonderful stay at Convento de Sao Francisco. Staying in the property is an amazing experience. Our room was very comfortable and nicely furnished and the bed had lovely linens. The convent property has so much atmosphere and is furnished with beautiful period pieces as well as comfortable couches. As it was January we did not use the pool or garden but they looked very nice. The breakfast was very hearty and very good. We had local fruit, yogurt, cheese,eggs, cereal. Everything...

"The hotel was great. The staff were helpful and friendly. The breakfast was basic, but adequate. You can eat the breakfast buffet or you can order off the limited menu. The room we stayed in was a 1 bedroom apartment with a small kitchen. It was clean and very functional. There is a grocery store next door so it was nice to have some food in the room. I would definitely come to this hotel again. "
