"The view from this hotel is why you want to come here, and it does not disappoint. It is truly amazing! Staff was nice and check-in was easy but it is definitely a trek if you are wanting to explore Lucerne and use this as a home base. Without a car it is about a 1 hour trip via public transport. And Ubers/Taxis will run you north of $150 to/from Lucerne."

"We arrived to the hotel via train & bus with a one-night booking and dinner reservations upon our arrival time. The hotel was closed with lights off and no one in sight. We had to call multiple times to get anyone to answer, and finally, we had someone answer and share that they had an issue with the fire alarm so they had to shut down. When we spoke to someone in town, they told us they shut down every year at this time so it is normal for them to be closed. We booked this hotel months in advance, so they should've known they would be closed and informed us months in advance. We then were stranded in the cold with our two young daughters, both under 5, and the closest available hotel was 2.5 hours away via a private taxi, train and bus. We would've easily found new accommodation months prior if they would've kindly shared that they would be closed at this time of year. I would not recommend this property to anyone given the risk of being stranded without accommodation."

"The room was remodeled, and the hotel management took great care in selecting the furniture! I have a rather nice bed at home, but this new bed in the ski lodge was the best bed I have ever slept on! Just glorious night of sleep… and the resultant manger was spot on… his staff was flawless and kind, the food was flavorful and delightful."
