The hosts are friendly and always happy to give advice to local areas, so much to do within the area, you have the national park within 30mins drive but you also have the west coast which holds great views over to Scotland.The 2 pubs are just a stones throw up the road and the food in both is excellent."

I didn’t see anywhere on the listing that we would check in at the property upon arrival so I had to call VRBO to clarify before arriving since I had not received an email with check-in info like they said I was supposed to. "Excellent refurbishment, well appointed and good location with parking for one car. Great house in a quiet part of the Lakes with good access to the hills on foot so no need to drive. Two good pubs in the village and a good village shop with the bare essentials and lots of treats."

"Spa cottage was brilliant, it was clean, had everything you needed, very well furnished and its in a great location opposite the lovely village shop and right by the pub. Good walks nearby and everyone very friendly. Would definitely stay again. Braithwaite is such a lovely village."
