"The desk staff was patient and kind, but we were extremely disappointed to have booked a 'staycation' specifically with a hotel that advertised a pool (repeatedly in their property description and featured photos) to find a locked, empty pool for our May 2026 reservation. We self-parked across the street, checked in, and went straight to our room, which was as pictured. The hallway carpet was a little dirty, but the room was clean. We used the restroom and the toilet immediately started leaking. We went up with our kids to look at the pool before reporting the toilet to the desk, and we found no functioning pool. At the desk, reception told us the pool opens in July and they would take care of the toilet. We asked about refund options because we had come *for* the pool, and he said no refund is available because the hotel's direct booking website states the pool opens in July even though their hotels.com property description includes no such detail, even in the fine print and booking details. We were disappointed and left. At least hotels.com staff were helpful, but the hotel itself ultimately was not."

"Lovely hotel the room was big with a TV with Netflix. The hotel was well located and we used it as a base to explore the waterfalls on foot. "

"Room was questionable on cleanliness. Mildew stains present in bathroom. & dust on top of dresser. Overall room could be renovated. View was beautiful. Staff were very helpful. No real amenities. Breakfast was okay. Bread, eggs, breakfast meat, coffee, & juice. We had a leak in the ceiling. No other rooms were available as they were at capacity. Luckily we were able to stay with family. We were refunded for that evening and subsequent nights. "

"Gold One is a very nice boutique hotel located on south shore about one hour drive from Jeju airport. The rooms were large with comfortable beds and elegant, spacious bathrooms. Our room had a beautiful view of the ocean. The breakfast was comprehensive with made to order steak and eggs. Parking for our rental car was free and easy. The staff was exceptionally pleasant and helpful. We did not use the pool but it looked very nice. The trail from the hotel through the Secret Garden was an unexpected highlight. The location was reasonably central for touring sites to the west and east but travel is slow due to speed cameras on most roads."

"We return for a 30-year wedding anniversary trip as we honeymooned here 30 years ago. It was a great nostalgic moment to return to place where we started our family. Amazing service in 2 weeks in Korea traveling the country, I would say Sheila is still our favorite Hotel and comfort and elegance. Only thing is I think they could do better with air circulation to deal with humidity. I noticed everywhere I went in Korea seems to be humid but I also believe that's the experience of all foreigners would travel in Korea where somewhat of a normal way of life but I do expect air conditioners to be crisp and without humidity. Other than that everyone has been amazing and the employees and the staff definitely are above and beyond and cream of the crop. Thank you for an amazing stay and service."

"Pretty good location and within walking distance of shopping and food area. Car park was limited and need to walk a few blocks to park but fess claimable from the hotel. Overall ok stay."
