Everyone there was very polite, their food was pretty decent. Even though everyone’s English was very good they were delighted that I spoke some Portuguese to them. Overall very positive stay. My only take away was the construction noise near by and the planes flying overhead.

Very polite and helpful staff hotel and room excellent. Good food in the restaurant. fine choice of food at breakfast. Metro station outside the foyer bus stops nearby. We will use this hotel again when in Lisbon. We had a great week. thank you all!!

If you are looking for a place that is affordable, comfortable, clean and quiet, that is the place. If you need to be in the center of town, where the action never ends and sleep is not a must, then maybe look somewhere else.

I stayed in Portugal for 12 days and by far my favorite spot was Novotel. The room , the staff, the breakfast, the location and ease of transport was fantastic. I only wish I would have stayed there for my entire Lisbon leg of the trip

Check in is quick and easy the only complaint I have is the foul odor coming from the bathroom

We stayed 9 nights in this extraordinary hotel in the heart of Lisbon. First, this 35 room hotel has been entirely restored to its original Art Deco form, including cork floors in the room, beautiful marquetry floors in the lobby, elegant furniture and art work in the lobby and bar. Also the sleek, elegant Art Deco door handles (that are beautiful but not so easily grasped). Wonderful place! The ming size bed was nice and to US standards. The location is great. And most importanly the staff was exceptionally nice and accommodating!

We stayed for 2 days after our cruise. We arrive early. Front desk was welcoming and offered us an available room. We declined and said we’d wait for our reserved room on the upper floor. We toured Lisbon and returned to Lumen in the mid afternoon. Here’s when the service was exceptional. Front desk was friendly; offered us breakfast at 10 euros and a 30% restaurant discount. this hotel was perfect in every way , excellent location very clean and modern rooms in a 300 year old building . our room looked over a very busy street with a view of the famous arch . the street lined with restaurants was noisy with the window open but once closed we could not hear anything . very nice breakfast and the front desk people were very helpful and freindly . will stay here next visit

It was a fantastic hotel. The location can't be better and the hotel staffs were very helpful and polite. We could walk around the old Alfama area. We also got tips form the hotel reception. We had a early check out and the hotel staffs arranged breakfast box for us. Would certainly recommend this hotel for everyone.
